We can conjugate your antibody or protein to many labels.
- Biotin, Strepatvidin, Horseradish peroxidase (HRP) and Alkaline Phosphatase (AP)
- ATTO 390, FITC, ATTO 488, R-PE
- ATTO 565, ATTO 594, ATTO 633, APC, ATTO 655, ATTO 680, ATTO 700
- DyLight® 350, 405, 488, 550, 594, 633, 650, 680, 755, 800
The conjugates can be used for Western blot, Fluorescence-activated cell sorting (FACS), Immunocytochemistry (ICC), Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunofluorescence (IF), Flow cytometry, and Förster Resonance Energy Transfer (FRET).
Frequently Asked Questions
Q. Can I label a peptide/protein/antibody other than IgG?
A. Our ConjuBooster technology targets free amine groups of your compounds. The technology is designed for labeling IgGs and any protein of larger than 20kD. An average IgG is about 160kD. It is not recommended for small peptides. The labeling on synthetic peptides are based on a different technology.
Q. What is the minimum amount of antibody I can send to have labeled?
A. For best results, we recommend starting with at least 50-100 ug of material, but can often accommodate larger conjugations, depending on the protein or antibody. Just ask.
Q. Do my antibody and buffer fit the requirements?
A. Your antibody or protein should be purified (affinity purification is preferred). Any molecules with free amine groups will result in a poor quality conjugate. Your biomolecule should be in an amine free buffer (e.g. MES, MOPS, HEPES, PBS), pH range 6.5 to 8.5. It should not contain any additives such as Azide, BSA, Tris or Glycine at a concentration of >0.1%, and not ascites fluid, serum or tissue culture supernatant.
Q. How stable will my antibody or protein conjugate be?
A. The labeling to the antibody via a uni dirrectional stable, covalent bond. Conjugates can be fully active after more than 18 months' storage, undiluted, at 4°C. Conjugates stored in 50% glycerol at -20°C can be stable for several years.
Q. What are the best storage conditions for my conjugated antibodies?
A. The new conjugate can be stored for 12-18 months at 4°C as long as the antibody will tolerate storage at 4°C. All conjugates can be stored in 50% glycerol at -20°C to remain stable for 2 years. APC and RPE conjugates should never be stored at -20°C on their own without glycerol. Storing the conjugate undiluted is recommended. The sodium azide will inhibit HRP. The optimal storage conditions should be determined experimentally, using small aliquots of the conjugate.
Q. Can you purify my antibody for me before labeling?
A. In many cases we can, for an extra fee. We do not purify proteins.
Q. What is the lead time?
A. In most cases, we can ship product within 10 business days of receiving your antibody and order. Some projects will require additional time.
